Newbie Question
Hi everyone!
Is there any way I can get text to flow from one odd shape to another? Flowing from a text block to another is easy, but I'm filling odd shapes with text and it's a pain to get the text to flow from one to the other. Every time I make a change in the text I have to copy and past text back and forth from one shape to another.

Re: Newbie Question
Esperanto, welcome to TalkGraphics.
There is no real way to do this for irregular shapes.
Here, however, is an approach using negative space: Attachment 134809
It requires your shapes to be fixed in place as you create a cut-out of them for a large rectangle that is put on a hidden layer.
I did this with Combine Shapes > Intersect All Shapes.
The cut-out has a Repel Text Under attribute. As it is hidden it is never published but still influences how text on lower layers is constrained.
So create your shapes.
Set up the cut-out.
Add normal linked Text Areas over the shapes.
Add & change your text.
I also set up an overflow off page.

Re: Newbie Question
Another approach is to make your shapes the one with Add Shapes (Ctrl+1).
Text Inside then will fill both.
If you want to reposition then switch to the Shape Tool (F4) and select all nodes to move or alter and use the arrow keys or mouse.
The shapes need to be one above the other for this to be useful.
Just tried Break Shapes and this still works. You need to use the Edit inside > Select shape option or use Ctrl pick in the Page & Layer gallery.
Any change to any shape throws all the text into one of them but after making changes, reAdd (Shapes) and all reflow properly.
