Paint with text.

Re: Warping text with Xara!
Xara'a Mould Tool is pretty cool, and so is the Extrude.
The unmutilated text is shown at top left. (LHF Wade Grotesque) The first thing I did bfore using the Moulds (Default & Banner) was to elongate parts of the R and H with the Shape Tool.
Then I applied a 3 step contour.

Re: Warping text with Xara!
Xara products that have the mould, contour and extrude are about the best of class in vector drawing applications. I always point that out in the Cd and Serif forums when people have issues with these things...

Re: Warping text with Xara!
I love all these examples :) One of the things I like about the mold tool is that your text stays as text you can easily right click and open the mould and re edit your text.
However the mould tool is not the only text warping method in your Xara toolbox, if you have a version 11 program with the Shape painter :)
This was done entirely with the shape painter set to warp, and then a contour added. The one caveat with this method is that you have to convert to shapes before you can use the shape painter on your text.
Re: Warping text with Xara!
Well, you learn something every day. Thanks for the tip about right clicking on the mold to edit text - magic!
