Escher's optical illusions have always fascinated me. Since I'm exploring 3D graphics and UV mapping is part of it, I decided to recreate Escher'sCircle Limit by recreating the pattern and mapping it to an iconosphere... Well, it didn't work. The patterns bumped onto one another at wrong angles sooner or later or left me with isolated triangles or pentagons... It was a good exercise in UV mapping though.

Here's the uv map pattern I used. The triangle vertices are placed at the points where the wingtips meet and where the toes meet each other.
