MX Premium won't open after upgrading to Windows 10

Hello.
After upgrading to Windows 10, Xara MX Premium won't open. Error Code 6 (see attached) advises that the program could not be started; installation folder may be damaged; reinstalling might remedy the problem.
Has anyone else experienced this? I haven't tried reinstalling yet; will try later today but in the meantime, thought I'd check in case anyone has any additional advice (we've had lots of issues in addition to this one with Windows 10).

Did you try right clicking on the program icon and selection Run as Administrator?
If this does not work, try right clicking and try Troubleshoot Compatibility.

Had not tried these. Run as Admin didn't help.
Troubleshoot Compatibility offers two options:
- Try Recommended Settings
- Troubleshoot Program based on problems you notice
Which do you recommend? Perhaps try the first one first?

P.S. I don't know if these two are related, but after leaving that Troubleshoot Compatability error screen open for a while, the computer got a blue screen!

Hmmm? Ouch. I have not had one of those (touch wood) for a long time.
I would contact Xara Support http://support.xara.com and file a support ticket and see what they recommend. There is no reason I can think of why MX will not run. But there are SO many things that conflict it is hard to know.

you could try running a repair from control panel unistall program
