I don't know about you, but I certainly don't want my member eliminated, as indicated in the first choice.

I'm a danger and an embarrassment to one and all.
I have modified answer number 1. I would not want to knowingly endanger anyone's member, nor any members.

It´s never bothered me at all, I was just being curious (all the "what´s your favorite program" stuff is just an example to support my argument). Sometimes though, you *MAY* seem look less creditable with less posts. I´ve been around since the i/us days but I read more than I post.
I know people are busy and sometimes skim through long-winded posts (*cough* my last one) and things get misinterpreted (re. "what´s your favorite program"). I supposed using smilies ( ) will clearly show when humor is intended, but I never really liked using them.

I have no strong feelings either way regarding this subject. The only value that I see in displaying the number of posts, is that it gives a rough and ready indicator to responding to a post. i.e. a visitor with 7 post (a full member after 5 I believe) indicates that the poster may be reasonably new to Xara. I know this is not always the case, just an indication. The response to the post can therefore be geared to this precieved experience.

Funnily enough, it can also work the opposite way. Having started my Talk Graphics career by posting far too much, I like to back off for a bit to let other folk overtake me when my number of posts starts to seem excessive for what I've had to say!
But I've never liked the star system, and never used it...
