remove bkgrn add glow to .jpg
I'm was going to ask this same question in PhotoShop but I cannot find a PhotoShop forum and my original file is in CorleDraw X3 so that is why I'm starting here.
I have a .jpg of a hummer out in the desert. I need to remove the background (which I have done very painstakingly using the magic wand) and then apply a glow around the outside of the hummer and place it on a black background business card.
Can anyone help me accomplish this task?

This is a good question, never really done this in Corel before, but here is my attempt, there is most probably a few other ways to go about it. I don't know what your transparent cut out looks like, but will assume the image of mine will be of use in the example. "At least it's a pointer to get you going".

That is beautiful, George and I really thank you... but... I have to remove all of the background and leave only the hummer with the glow the same outline as the hummer. As if the only object left in your picture was the bridge and the glow would be the same shape as the bridge but just around the outside edges.
I'm so grateful for your response though. Again thank you.

Re: remove bkgrn add glow to .jpg
quick go at it - but in photoshop - not a hummer I know :D
EDIT: if it is and you are happy to use PS I can post up how I would do it - but that should be in our PS forum I think, rather than here..
Re: remove bkgrn add glow to .jpg
Steve,
You great... I do have PS so I'll try it in that. I forgot about the PS forum here. I do need a transparent bkgrnd though as I'm going to place this on a black filled business card. Thanks so very much. I'm on my way to success!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks TalkGraphics so much for being here.
