Name Plate Workbook #1 P: 3

I wanted to make a name plate type design for my wife to put on fabric and attach to her quilts. I used the Workbook #1 P:3 tutorial to make it. I cant quite get the screw heads to come out right, any help :o or suggestions :D

I can't believe it. my file went corrupt again because my computer spazzed, if I get this file fixed. It's seriously time to back up :(

Anyways, I did some comics with the file I got back, here's some examples.

I finished chapter one of my comic, unfortunately...computer had an error and restarted whilst I saved and my file went corrupt..again..can someone help? again!

D= I really need to get these files back, so if anyone can help please and thank you so so so so much!

Abby & Ducky

Hi everybody,
It�s long time for me without sharing any drawings of me, but i will start again to post and sharing my works in Xara with you all.
Here a portrait drawing Of Abby and Ducky from the TV show �NCIS�.
I used the Blend tool to blend between the shapes (5 Steps Blend) in this drawing to make the faces of Abby and Ducky, and with some transparency i got what you see in my attached images.
Also, only shapes with solid colours and blend some shapes on the faces with some transparency.
Any comments and suggestions are warm welcome.

Mike Sims who hosts the TalkGraphics Xara 3D forum is a magician who is forever pulling the graphic rabbit out of the hat. The example above is one of those rabbits of which I speak. Mike has made this simple program for creating 3D text and simple logos and created a genuine 3D spinning (and the big trick here is Hollow) globe.

He has generously agreed to share his technique with the community in this month's exceptional Guest Tutorial.

Let's really hear it for Mike Sims!!!

Hello guys. I really surprised that working in Xara 5 or 6, most of yours using only vector tools, as if you are drawing in Xara 2,5 ))))
I decided to kick my brain and has found some new (hope :) ) drawing way. It`s not a masterpiece but just an example.
This is what I suggest.
1- Original photo
2- Layer of light colors
3- Layer of dark colors
4- The last one + transparent (use original photo)
5- Result picture
6- Lines

A few things. firstly, just some more artwork to show, hope you all like!

some poses of my character, Zobe.

and some fanart of Noah from the cartoon Total Drama.

I did him in more my style with show quotes behind him. I also did a picture trying to get as close to the real style as possible.

Also, wondering..since my post is never coming up on the help forum, I need my file back. I used Xara X1 to save my file onto my USB stick. Xara came up with an error message saying the flashdrive's memory was full, I clicked ok, and the message came back up. I couldnt access Xara so had to CTRL, ALT, DEL close it. Now the file is corrupt. can anyone fix it? it has a LOT of work on it.

Clock tut.

Just finished clock tut 2 and my head is still spinning so how Gary thinks them up and puts them together is fantastic. Got a bit "mixed up" in some parts of the tut but managed to finish it, so showing with faults as well :D
I did two clock faces, one with the wooden blocks affect and one just solid block. There was plenty to glean from these tuts, thanks Gary.

Mission Xara

I had this pen and ink drawing I did in 1983 of a Mission in Northern Ca., I believe it was called Mission San Antonio, not really sure, I thought I would try it in Xara. I had a hard time with the perspective :o

Well I guess I'm just a kid at heart. I have been drawing cartoon characters watching Jim Gilbert's Cartoon Factory on Sundays for about a month. This is just my doodling, nothing fancy just playing. :D :o
